26 March 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm£10
Isokon Gallery, London
*POSTPONED DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS SITUATION*
In the spring of 1934 Austrian émigré photographer, Communist spy recruiter and Hampstead resident Edith Tudor-Hart was commissioned to provide a photographic record of the construction work and opening ceremony of the Lawn Road Flats. Daria Santini – author of the recently published book The Exiles. Actors, Artists and Writers who Fled the Nazis for London – will discuss Tudor-Hart’s striking images and consider her work alongside that of other exile photographers who were in London during that early phase of the German-speaking immigration to Britain.
