This illustrated talk by Monica Bohm-Duchen, initiator and Creative Director of the Insiders/Outsiders Festival, will focus on the experiences of the artists who found refuge in this country in the wake of Hitler’s accession to power in 1933, examining not only their achievements and legacy, but also the challenges – not to say obstacles – they faced on their arrival.
