Absence and Loss

On 8 February at 12.30pm, to coincide with Absence and Loss, an exhibition of her photographs at Peterborough Museum and Art Gallery (which runs until 18 February) Marion Davies – the daughter of refugees from Nazi Germany – will talk about her quest to understand her family’s history by recording the ways in which Holocaust memorials in Germany engage with the country’s dark past. A display of the work of local poet and painter Lotte Kramer, who was born in Mainz and came to England on a Kindertransport, gifted by the artist’s family, will also be on show for the first time.
