Belcea Quartet

On what would have been Keller’s 100th birthday, the Belcea players perform Britten’s last quartet – dedicated to him – alongside an intricate work from Haydn’s final complete set of 1797-8, whose nickname derives from its recurring gesture of falling melodic fifths. Joseph Haydn (1732-1809) String Quartet in D minor Op. 76 No. 2 ‘Fifths’ Benjamin Britten (1913-1976) String Quartet No. 3 Op. 94
