Paul Celan Centenary Celebration

On Monday 23 November at 7.30pm there will be a special evening in celebration of the centenary of internationally lauded poet and Holocaust survivor Paul Celan, organised by Jewish Renaissance magazine and hosted in association with Insiders/Outsiders. Guest speakers include Olivier Award-winning actor Henry Goodman, Canadian writer Anne Michaels, artist/filmmaker Gideon Koppel and Monica Bohm-Duchen, Insiders/Outsiders’ creative director, who will talk about German artist Anselm Kiefer’s response to Celan’s poetry. Gideon Koppel is the creator of North of the Future, a 25-screen film installation which explores Paul Celan’s life and poetry, and which is on display at the Jewish Museum in Berlin from November 2020.
